Tongue Twisters

58 tongue twisters, 55 minimal pairs, 40 English sounds and 51 conversations to practise them in. You speak, the app listens, and it tells you what landed.

What is inside

Ten rooms, one voice

Today's practice

A short plan waiting for you each day — one sound, one pair, one twister, about ten minutes. You do not have to decide what to work on.

58 tongue twisters

Across twelve sound families — S/SH, R/L, TH, V/W, P/B, T/D, K/G, CH/J, clusters, vowels and rhythm — from beginner to expert. Each one breaks into chunks, with a tip for the sound it trains.

55 minimal pairs

ship or sheep, light or right, thin or tin. Two words, one small difference. You hear them first and choose, then say them yourself.

40 sounds, 14 lessons

Every English sound with its own page — where the tongue goes, what the lips do, whether the voice is on — plus lessons on syllables, word stress, sentence stress and rhythm.

51 conversations

Coffee shop, grocery store, doctor's office, airport, phone call, meeting someone new. Real situations, so the sound you drilled comes back where you need it.

Shadowing

Hear a line and say it back immediately, without reading ahead. The fastest way to pick up the music of a sentence rather than its words.

Interview & presentation coach

Answer out loud and get notes on clarity, grammar, filler words and structure. For a job interview, a class presentation, or any time you have to speak and be understood.

Pronunciation DNA

A map of your own sounds — which ones are solid, which need work — built from what you have actually said, not from a placement test.

Dictionary in 100 languages

Look a word up in the language you already think in. The meaning comes in your language; the pronunciation stays American English.

Your progress

What you have practised and how it is moving, week to week. A coaching view, not a test report.

Everything above is open to you as a student in this class. Nothing is locked.

How a session goes

Four steps, about five minutes

1 · Hear it

Listen to the sound on its own, then inside a word, then inside the twister. You hear it before you are ever asked to make it.

2 · See how it is made

Where the tongue sits, what the lips do, whether the voice is on. A sound is a physical thing, so the app shows you the shape, not just the symbol.

3 · Say it back

You speak, the app listens, and it tells you which words landed and which ones slipped. Say it again as many times as you like — nobody is counting mistakes.

4 · Bring it back into speech

The sound returns inside a sentence and a short conversation, because a sound you can only say in a drill is not yet yours.

Why twisters

The fastest way to fix a stubborn sound

Every language leaves out sounds another language needs. If your first language has no th, your mouth has never had to make one, and no amount of reading about it will teach the muscle.

A tongue twister packs the same difficult sound in again and again, so your mouth gets the repetition it needs in twenty seconds instead of twenty minutes. Not performance, not speed records — repetition with your ears open, until the sound arrives without you thinking about it.

Minimal pairs, in plain words

Some English words differ by one small sound: ship and sheep, thin and tin, very and berry. If your ear cannot hear the difference yet, your mouth cannot make it yet either.

So the app trains the ear first — two words, which one did you hear — and only then asks you to say them. Hearing comes before speaking, the same way it did when you were small.

About the score

A number is not a verdict

The app gives your speaking a score so you can see movement from one week to the next. Read it as a coaching signal, nothing more. A low score on a sound your first language does not contain is normal, expected, and temporary — it is information about the sound, not about you.

Your teacher sees how much you practised, not a ranking of who speaks best. Effort is what shows up.

Your voice, your business

What happens to a recording

  • You sign in with the same EZ Model account you already use. There is no second password to remember.
  • A recording is made so the app can tell you how you did. It belongs to your account, and you can delete it.
  • Your teacher sees counts — attempts, twisters practised, sounds worked on. Not your audio.
  • The microphone only turns on when you press the button, and your browser will ask you first.

Start speaking

Five minutes a day is enough

Pick one sound. Say the twister until it stops fighting you. Come back tomorrow. That is the whole method, and it works.
