Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

The EZ Model platform is built for multilingual learners, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of the teaching, not an afterthought.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers can navigate structure.
• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Keyboard access throughout — including the site search palette, menus, and forms — with visible focus styles.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and detailed descriptions for complex diagrams such as the Meta-Self model and Liebig's Barrel.
• Captions in the Music Library for songs that have them, including timed live captions where available.
• Colour combinations chosen for contrast, with meaning never carried by colour alone.
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting: animations are reduced or removed when you ask your system for less motion.
• Responsive layouts that work when text is enlarged, and on small screens.
• Form fields with real labels, and errors announced to assistive technology.
• Optional physical activities (yoga, movement) always offer an alternative — nobody is required to move to take part.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist:

• Some songs do not yet have captions or transcripts. We are adding them over time.
• A few videos lack captions or audio description.
• Some older PDF publications may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide an accessible version.
• Third-party content — YouTube, Amazon — follows its own accessibility standards, which we do not control.
• The games are interactive and visual; some activities may be difficult without sight or a pointing device.
